This unit was very challenging. It gave me a very good overview of the methods and theory. That being said this unit was like learning algebra. Once I got a grasp of what's involved in teaching English as foreign language I began to see and understand the concepts behind engage,study and activate. I will now be able to appreciate the struggles of my new students as they learn a new language.During this unit, I have learned that students not only differently, but teach approaches are different.From learning spanish as a second language, I thought that all languages are mostly just translated word for word. Many times, I had already put many of these methodologies into pratice, but now that I have read and studied about them, I realize the importance of the variation of theories.
