Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered the difference of using a course text verses created materials in the classroom. The learner was reminded that all lessons must be students centred. It was recommended that a combination of a course text and several created materials should be used in the classroom at all times to ensure that the learning needs of the students are targeted and addressed at all times.I learnt that writing and speaking are both equally important but are taught in different ways. The difference between accuracy and fluency is important. Accuracy is more focused on the grammar and the technical structure, where to use and spelling of the ideas. Fluency is letting the students be free and creative to gain practice and build their confidence with new concepts or words.
