Vacancy For EFL Teacher in Spain (2)

Date posted:2016-11-02 | Writer: L'Ampolla School of English | Email: [email protected]

Come and use your TEFL skills to teach English in a beautiful small town by a Spanish beach. This is a small school located in L'Ampolla just 2.5 hours south of Barcelona by train. We’re looking for a qualified independent teacher who has good experience in teaching children between 2 and 12. The position is available immediately. To be considered for this position you must love teaching and children of this age group. You must also be funny and have fun while teaching, be creative and interesting, hard-working and ambitious, flexible, friendly, warm and easygoing. You should be organized and neat, be able to take initiatives, have a sense of business as well as be a team player who gets involved in the school welfare.

The teaching hours can be any time of the day and late afternoons and maybe Saturdays too depending on the demand. Knowledge of Spanish is definitely a plus. Income is commensurate with the amount of teaching hours, since you'll be working as an independent contractor, thus the sky is the limit. The more students you have, the more you'll make. Presently there are 18 students enrolled with a load of 13 teaching hours/week. An opportunity for a future partnership is a possibility.

Requirements (all these documents to be emailed): TEFL/TESOL Degree/Certificate. You need to be a native or near native speaker of English. A near native speaker of English would be someone who has lived in an English speaking country for a few years and attained a very good command of the English Language. Two years of recent experience in teaching children, two most recent letters of verifiable references, CV. You MUST hold an EU passport or a Spanish work permit (if you are a NON EU) to be considered for an interview.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

It was an interesting summary of pros and cons of using course books. I found especially useful for me a part on four different options for course book use. Most teachers I met usually preferred using course books page by page without implementing the proposed options. It relates mostly to the first options \"Omit\". This unit helped me to realise the importance of teacher's flexibility. This unit really analyses English grammar in all its complex forms. I feel like I have a better understanding for Modal auxiliary verbs and how the active and passive voice is formed. I thought phrases verbs would be challenging for a non native speaker however the units combined have given me ideas for teaching techniques to tackle this and make them seem less daunting for the students.
