Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This was a very helpful unit with the example teaching videos. It was very clear the flaws in the first video teaching style. You could almost feel the awkward tension in the room because of how inconsiderate the teacher was of his students. I have had classes like this in which it is most unfair to the student who desires to learn but is prevented by the method of which the material is taught. This Unit analyzed the different roles of teachers and the various levels of learners. From the teacher-roles part I've learnt that the teacher should have an in-depth knowledge of the topic he is teaching (obviously) but also be able to adapt to the class, changing roles as the lesson goes by. Organization to me is the foundation of this job, and plays a major role in the success of the class.
