Teach English and explore one of Mexico's most culturally rich and diverse regions while teaching- the state of Oaxaca! The position involves teaching English classes of 8-12 students of varying English proficiency (including exam preparation courses) and ages (predominantly young learners). Utilize Minimundo's curriculum (text books & work books) and methodology to lead interactive and hands-on classes applying TPR method. Add your own twist to the lesson plans to make sure your students are learning as much as they are having fun.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teach during the week and on Saturdays
• Plan and prepare lessons before each class
• Manage the classroom and administer student discipline as needed
• Facilitate testing during the course, including marking tests and grading assignments
• Collaborate with the Academic Coordinator
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary level depends on individual's qualifications and experience. We pay above average. Housing is available.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Native level speaker with TESOL / TEFL qualification (English/linguistics/foreign language degree and/or some type of reputable TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification is preferred)
• 1+ year of experience teaching
• Enthusiastic, energetic and creative personality with genuine interest and love of teaching and children
• Responsible, approachable and friendly
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and punctual
