Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 3 describes common theories and methodologies used in teaching, the preferred ESA model, variants of it, and teaching tools to incorporate into the lesson. I found the lesson planning guidance most useful, as it gives the teacher a framework which is flexible enough to use through his career. The different games will come in handy while creating interesting and educational \"engage\" phases in lessons. This unit was quite difficult to understand at first because it is like learning another language. Granted, it is easier to pick up than a full language but it looks foreign. Learning the terms for phonology seems obscure and possibly unnecessary, but it adds depth to English and it will allow me to teach with more accuracy. This will definitely be a section that I will reread to further grasp the concepts.
