In this unit, we examined the usage of books and materials, the differences between created and authentic materials, their advantages, and disadvantages. The content of this unit has helped me master the smart mix of textbooks and supplementary materials to better fit each specific group of students. It also contained useful resources for ESL materials, which will definitely be used for my further practice.This unit was a reflection of the ESA model in a video setting. Two contrasting videos showcased a teacher teaching his students using different techniques. The second video was much more effective because the teacher's methods was easier to understand and had much clarity. The strategy used by the teacher in the first video was very confusing for the students as his ideas expressed were not clearly linked.
