Past tense I feel is very important to the development of a student and time within a lesson should be spent on each form of past tense so a student can clearly understand and differentiate between the forms. Time should be spent on the irregular past simple form so students can memorize this and use it in everyday language as there is no way they would be able to just know the differences without repetitionUnit 18 Modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice spends some time covering the construction of modals and passive voice. I feel that the coverage of these subjects was disproportionate to the coverage of phrasal verbs. It was not made clear in the text examples which parts of the sentence contained the phrasal verbs. On the other hand modal verbs were given lots of coverage and had many examples of their use.
