Escola Inglesa is a small private language school near Oporto (30Km). We are looking for TEFL qualified and experienced native level English teachers for academic year 2014/15 - to start in September 2014. We emphasize the communicative approach and a relaxing learning atmosphere, as well as a high standard of teaching.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Dynamic/ flexible/ reliable native level English Speaker

- BA degree – preferably in Education

- ELT certificate (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or DELTA)

- Excellent communication skills

- Experience with young children - kindergarten and primary schools / preparation for international language certificates (University of Cambridge - YL, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE…)

- EU passport is advantage

OTHER INFORMATION:

In unit 17 I learned about the different classroom equipment and aids that can help further the students learning. One simple piece of classroom equipment I learned about was the white board. The white board can be used for underlining, highlighting, or color coding key concepts for better student understanding. All you need to do is really focus on what key concepts you want them to understand.This unit has taught me about the different resources can be used in the classroom helping the teacher make the lesson more interesting and interactive, the resources listed will normally catch the attention of the stutends more easily as long as they aren't overused. Along with the previously mentioned this unit provides an extensive list of webpage resources for the classroom that can be used.
