Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
In the Unit 2 called the parts of speech I learned how I can better analyse the language. Each part of speech has a certain function within a sentence. I learned how to create the structure of sentences through a detailed analysis of nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions. It was also very useful to find practice and reminders of irregular verbs.Even though this unit was very brief, I feel like it was important to know the normal ages that fall under the Young Learners group, which is typically ages 5-13. Also, the acronyms in this unit were helpful to know because they are constantly being used in this field. I felt like this course was useful for us to know the objects as well as the outline for the entire course and what we should expect.
