Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit to me, was all about lesson plans. It went through some common methodologies people used, but then zoomed in on the ESA plans that a teacher can utilize. I learned a lot about the process of when to correct, how to do it, and the importance of fluency in contrast to accuracy. In fluency stages you shouldn't be correcting because you are just trying to get them to use what they have learned for example. This Unit has helped me understand the advantages and disadvantages of using course books and created materials. I understand that created materials can supplement course books and can sometimes be more relevant to students in the learning process. Course books are good because they are tried and tested and provides security to the students and teachers. It also provides a syllabus which is graded for the students.
