While there are no deadlines for a deposit, courses can fill up quickly and your seat will only be reserved after the deposit has been paid.

Course fees are all-inclusive so you won’t be asked to pay additional costs for course related materials or services. This also includes course moderation and accreditation fees, airport/bus station pick-ups* and lifetime job assistance.

    * Pick-ups are available from 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on the WED, THUR, FRI and SAT before the course begins.

  • What are my accommodation options?

    Close

Private Accommodation (£60 - £150 per week): This is the least expensive option for this course. Transportation is convenient and we can help you to find the best location for accommodation after your course deposit payment has been made.

Hostels (private: £100 - £350 per week, shared: £70 - £150 per week): These are conveniently located around the school and transportation is easy to find.

Hotels (£600 - £700 per week): This is a more expensive option but if you can afford the cost, the accommodation is very comfortable.

  • What travel documents will I need for england?

    Close

This information is specific to your country of origin. For the most accurate and current information regarding travel documents for the UK, please contact your nearest British consulate. There is also a very good chance that all the information you require (application documents, application fees, duration of processing documents) is available on the embassy’s webpage.

  • What is the course schedule?

    Close

From Monday to Friday there are input sessions every morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during which trainees learn classroom management, grammar and other practical aspects of the course. Lunch is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. trainees prepare their lessons (with the assistance of their instructors) and then teach them to real ESL students. These lessons are followed by feedback from the instructors. Our goal is to provide six to ten hours of observed teaching practice over the four-week course. These lessons are taught from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, trainees are free after 1:00 p.m. and the weekend is also free. In addition to these hours, there is also time that must be spent preparing materials and completing various assignments.

  • What can I expect during teaching practice?

    Close

We use local non-English-speaking students for the trainees’ teaching practice. Our students are very keen and enthusiastic and come to classes purely because they want to!

Lessons are based upon real teaching resources found all over the world and you will have the chance to create your own materials as well. You will receive the aid of your course trainer throughout lesson planning and receive immediate feedback on your lesson after it’s been delivered. Practicum is assessed and a satisfactory assessment is required to earn your TEFL/TESOL certificate.

  • Who usually attends the course?

    Close

On average, we have around 20 trainees enrolled on each course. Most of our participants are from English-speaking countries such as: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or Australia. We do accept non-native speakers of English who have a high proficiency in the language.

  • Is there a dress code?

    Close

For all input and tutorial sessions at the training location, there is only one specific dress requirement: Both men and women should have a shirt covering their shoulders. The course operates from within a school so we ask you to be mindful of this, as well as being mindful of your peers and to respect the fact that you are a visitor in another country.

During teaching practice there are specific requirements that adhere to the local dress code. All trainees are expected to dress professionally according to the following guidelines:

Women: Shoulders should be covered, blouses with sleeves are suggested. No low-cut necklines, very short skirts or bare midriffs. Open-toed shoes are acceptable, but not hiking or flip-flop sandals.

Men: Long pants, slacks or trousers are required, jeans are not acceptable. Short or long-sleeved shirts with a collar are necessary, although a tie is not required. Loafers or dress shoes are both fine, sandals are not acceptable. Long hair should always be tied back.

  • What should I bring for course studies?

    Close

The only thing you will really need for the course is a notepad and something to write with. If you have a laptop and would like to bring it, you are welcome to do so as the center offers free Wi-Fi.
