The Serengeti National Park is one of the most popular safari destinations in Africa thanks to its huge size and vast numbers of animal species.
The park’s massive area of nearly 15,000 km² means there is a seemingly endless amount of diverse terrain to explore and a mind-boggling array of animals to look out for.
You will find a wide range of accommodation on offer within the park, from luxurious lodges to budget-friendly camping.
The park is particularly famous for the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and other plains animals that move to the Maasai Mara in Kenya along an 800 km route.
Hot air ballooning, particularly at sunrise, is a very popular activity, while walking safaris are also available for the more adventurous visitor.
